SIX-ROOMED DWELLING DESTROYED BY FIRE.
An outbreak of fire occurred at 12.30 a.m. on Sunday, which resulted in the total destruction of a six-roomed dwelling situated at the northern end of Avenue Road. The cause of the outbreak is a mystery as the house was unoccupied at the time. The Brigade were unable to effect a save owing to the hold the fire had when the alarm was given. The house belonged to Mr. H. Hurley, of Wellington. The insurance it not yet available.
