PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.

The local Presbyterian Sunday School picnic was held at the beach on Saturday, the weather proving perfect for the outing. Through the generosity of Miss J. Ross upwards of seventy children also a number of parents and friends were conveyed to the beach by char-a-banc, and private cars. The Beach Sunday School under the superintendence of Mrs Larsen joined in and a happy time was spent by both children and adults. Special thanks are due to Mr Larsen for providing boiling water for lunch and afternoon tea, also for a case of apples. Food was provided in abundance by parents and friends, also donations of money towards the races, and the teachers wish to express their thanks to all who assisted in any way towards making the picnic such an enjoyable one. The races for the boys were conducted by Rev. MacDonald, Messrs. Barron, Haydock and Hutchins. Portion of the good things provided were sent to All Saints’ Children’s Home.

The children returned to their homes tired but extremely happy after such an ideal outing.
