Handicap singles: Mrs McMurray (24) defeated Mrs Parkes (44), 2G —10 Mrs. Downes (54) defeated Mrs Ball (5), 20 —24; Mrs. Owen (24) defeated Mfsfe Moore (fs£), 20 —22; Mrs Bryant (41) defeated Mfiss Wlanklyn (64), 20—19; Mrs. McMurray (24) defeated Miss Wanklyn (84), 20 —12; Mrs Huntley (54) defeated Mrs Bryant (44), 20 —20; Mrs Downes (54) defeated Mrs Woods (34), 20—24; Mrs Moore (54) defeated Mrs Parkes (44) 20—9. The oth round of the Inter-club match for the Manawatu Croquet Centre will he played at Manawatu greens on Thursday 25th inst., when Northern Club are drawn to play against Foxton. The local players are (singles): Mrs McMurray 0 bisques and Mrs Woods (0). Doubles: Mesdames Owen (04) and Pearson (7), also Mesdames Parkes (84) and Ball (94). The local club intends participating in the Horowhenua Inter-Club competitions, to he held in Levin next month.
The dates of play are as fol lows:—
Against Levin, 10th March, v. •Otaki 23rd, v. Shannon 30th. Mesdames Woods and Moore will represent the local club in thf singles matches and Mesdames Owen and Bryant, and Parkes and Miss Wanklvn in the doubles.
