DRUNKEN DRIVER

SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT. , Wellington. Jan. 28. Alfred Charles Welsman, who in December last at Auckland was sentenced to seven days’ and his license cancelled for being drunk while in charge of a motor car, was before the Court on a similar charge to-day. He was sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment. Auckland, January 29.

At the Police Court, Vidor John McDuff, whose car collided with and completely wrecked part of a safely zone in Queen Street, was sentenced to twenty-one days’ imprisonment on a charge of driving while intoxicated. This being his third offence, his license was cancelled for two years.
