BOROUGH LOAN PROPOSAL.
THE Borough Council will afford local ratepayers an opportunity early next year of endorsing a lorward policy in cornier!inn with improved l'oads and footpaths within the borough. It is impossible lor the Council to undertake extraordinary work, other than maintenance, from the gencial rates while the interest and sinking fund on a ■loan of £SOOO will be an infinitesimal increase in rates in comparison with the benefits to be derived. Further, such improvements will add to the attractiveness of the (own from a residential point ol view and add to our general prosperity.
