Tin* police have issued the usual warning to the public about the discharging of fireworks in public places on Christmas Eve. It is the intention to prosecute offenders as was done in several instances on last November 5.

In connection with the privileges for the forthcoming meeting of the Foxtou Racing Club, Mr. J. Walls was the successful tenderer for the catering, and Mr. 11. A. Mitchell, of Kimbolton, again secured the publican’s booth.

Mr. Davis who is representing the ■War Record Department” of the United Distributers Ltd., \\ ellinjgton, is at present canvassing the whole of the Foxton district. In 1918 the capital value of the Borough stood at €l2-1,025; at March 91st, 1925, the capital value had increased to .€l9-1,055, an increase in seven years of £70,000. For nine months of this year tiermils have been issued for new buildings to the value of £4OOO.
