“EAST OF SUEZ” AT CABARET. Somerset Maughan’s successful stage play “East of Suez” has been transferred to the screen with Pola Negri in the leading'role, and will ■be the headline attraction at the Town Hall Cabaret to-morrow evening. “East of Suez” is the story of a white girl, educated in England and living in Shanghai where her father is British Consulor Agent. She is loved by two men she meets on the boat on her way to China and coveted by a sinister Chinese nobleman who resorts to all the cunning he can summon to win the girl for himself. Featured in support of Pola Negri are Edmund Lowe, Roekcliffe Fefiowes and Noah Beery. Other films on the programme are a star comedy “Oh what a Flirt,” “Sydney’s Sunny Beaches,” and Paramount News. Cabaret prices, 1/- everywhere. Saturday evening’s programme is headed by “The Scarlet Honeymoon,” a romantic drama in which Shirley Mason is featured. Mary Piekford’s latest picture “Little Annie Rooney,” has been booked for screening "St the Town Hall. •••••
