SATURDAY’S FOOTBALL.

INTER UNION.

Kia Toa 12, Wanderers 3.

JUNIORS. Weraroa nil, Shannon nil,

REFEREES. Manawatu 11, Horowhenua 9,

The Manawatu and Horowhenua Referees were rather unfortunate in striking bad weather for their game at Levin on Saturday (says the Chronicle). Intermittent showers fell through the afternoon and this not only made things unpleasant for the players, but affected the attendance of the public to a considerable extent. Manawatu, with the assistance of four local players, proved to be in better condition than the Horowhenua men, and won a closely contested, if at times highly amusing game, by 11—9.
