PROHIBITION

The Hon. Crawford Vaughan, exPromier of South Australia, will speak at Foxton on Tuesday, October 13th under the auspices of the New Zealand Alliance. Crawford Vaughan’s record in his native Australia, includes thirteen years Parliamentary service. He was treasurer for four years, Premier for two and a-lialf years of that period, lie also held the portfolios of Minister of Education and Minister of Lands. He rendered outstanding service to the allied cause, personally acknowledged by President Wilson, Lord Reading (British Ambassador) Mr Samuel Gompers, Air. Chas. M. Schwab, and others. At the British Governments request he visited various centres on a Brit-ish-Ameriean mission, this effort to s' develop cordial delations 'between English speaking countries bad the special approval of Mr. Balfour (now Lord Balfour). He is a forceful, convincing speaker, and his world-wide experiences add great interest to his speeches.
