OBITUARY.
ALFRED ED LIN, AGED 30
YEARS. We regret to record the death of Mr. Alfred Edlin, at the age of 30 years, which took place at, Napier on Sunday last. Deceased was well and popularly known in Foxton, having been educated at the local State School, after which he served as a messenger at the local Post Office. Deceased was in the Postal Service at Napier at the time of his demise, having recently been transferred there from Wellington on account of his health. Deceased, who served in the Great War for three and a half years, suffered from a war disability which was responsible for his early death. Deceased was born at Woodend, Canterbury in the year 1895. The late Mr. Edlin was the second son of Mr. and Mrs W. Edlin, of Levin, and late of Foxton. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, leaving the residence of Mr. A. Stevenson, Hall Street, for the Foxton cemetery.
