LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Levin & Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 18th September, 1925: — “The auctions are proceeding at. the level of the opening day. Catalogues are being well cleared. The following prices are current for average farmers’ lots: — Greasy merino, 23d to 27d per lb; scoured merino, 3/10d per lb; greasy quarterbred 56’s super 19d to 22d per lb; greasy fine half-bred 50/56’s 17d to 19d per lb; greasy Xbrcds 48/50’s 16d to 17d per lb; greasy Xbreds 46/48’s 14d to 15d per lb; greasy Xbreds 44/46’s 13d to 15d per lb; greasy Xbreds 40/44’s 13d to 14d per lb; greasy Xbred, 36/40’s 12Jd to 13Jd per lb; Xbred pieces lid to 12d per lb; greasy Xbred bellies lOd to lid per lb; greasy Xbred locks 7d to 8d per lb.

Market very firm owing to strike. More or less nominal quotations. As compared with last week’s quotations, down, best North Island and ordinary lamb, id dearer. Second quality lamb id dearer.
