♦ INFORMATION LAID AGAINST CONSTABLE.

Christchurch, July 31

Constable Waring, who had been i(-sponsible lor William H. Hill, a newspaper runner, being convicted for three breaches of the city bylaws, was himself proceeded against by Hill in the Magistrate’s Court to-day for breaches involving a

motor vehicle. Kill laid informations against the constable for having left a motor-bicycle and side-chair outside liis house unattended, and also for having left it by night without lights showing. The latter information was withdrawn, the by-law not having been proved by informant's counsel, a Ln-t which was pointed out after Hill's case had been (dosed. On tin* oilier charge the constable was convicted without penalty.
