JOCKEY FINED.

Hamilton, July 9. Tn the Magistrate’s Court, a jockey, Harold. James Tinker, was charged with converting a motorcar to his own use, also with dangerous driving, and driving without a license. Evidence was given that the car was being driven swiftly, when it skidded, and went over a hank The owner had not given permission to accused to use the car. Accused said he had been sitting in the car with the owner and other men. The owner left, and one man suggested a ride, saying the owner would not mind. Accused was fined £lO on each of the first two charges, and £1 on the third.
