THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE. The High Commissioner's cable, dated the 27th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market quiet but steadier. <j> grade, August-Oetober shipments sold at £4l 15/- and £4l 10/-. New Zealand market quiet with small sales reported of Fair, Julv-August shipments at £32 10/-, at which figure there are still sellers. High points are offered at £35 10/- but no business is reported.”
