’ ST. ANDREWS (3) v. FOXTON 1. The match between St. Andrews and Foxton was played on Saturday. St, Andrew's kicked off with the snn to their hacks, and forced I lie pace for the commencement. Bell, centre forward, and Olsen, left-hack were prominent in play for the aggresive faction. The latter, however, met with some opposition after the lirst twenty minutes. Ship, the homo goalie, proving a particularly valuable man, making several good saves. There was a good deal of give and take and just before half-time Kennedy broke lit rough and scored for the visitors.

In the second half, Travers, who 1 caused some dissatisfaction on the held, was ordered off, but- although reduced to ten men, the seasiders fought valiantly. There were unable to score, however, and the Saints proved a little too much for them. Hell adding another to the score, placed the Saints two in the lead. Crow then made a worthy effort and registered for his side, but before the filial whistle Hell scored again, the visitors thus winning 3 —l. Another of a series of euchre parly’s is to be held in the Town Hall Supper-room this evening in aid of the funds of the f’oxton Soccer Club. Admission is: gents 1/-, ladies a basket. A good time guaranteed all who attend.
