Messrs CJiuiie and Son, survey free of charge; Aiessrs Hartley and Son firewood etc. Thanks are also due to the Commercial Travellers and their wives, who have worked to raise money in connection with the Home, also to the Standard reporter. The new wing at the .Home, opened last week, comprises a small dormitory containing two beds; sit-ting-room, isolation ward, 2 beds; assistant’s room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, furnace room, play room, bulk store room, boys’ dormitory, girls’ dormitory with the matron’s room between. Also girls’ summer sleeping porch, boys’ do., 4 fiush lavatories (2 day, 2 night); 2 large bathrooms, 2 sinks in each; linen press. A fowl house was also erected with run and three lean-tos built on to the Home. Water is supplied by 3 1,000 gallon tanks and 3 500 gallon tanks. All the inside rooms are covered with lino and oilcloth.
