UNITED SPORTS BALL.
The United Spurls Club held their annual bail in the Town iiaii on Thursday. There was a good attendance visitors being- present from all surrounding districts. The hall was tastefully decorated with vari-coluured streamers and greenery and was a credit to the committee. Some charming frocks were worn by the ladies and ihe harmony of colour presented a pleasing aspect. Music of the best was discoursed by Larkin’s UrcliesLra, extras' being played by Mrs. Davey, Mr H. Ueorge and others. Messrs W. E. Barber and W. T. Jewell ollieiated as M’s (J. The supper-room decorations were carried oul similar to the baLlroom, ihe tables having bowls ofchrysanthemums. The supper arrangements. which were in the capable hands of Mr. M. E. Ferreau, could not have been bettered. Dancing- was kept up till an early hour, when a mosL enjoyable social function was brought to a close.
