MOUTOA NOTES.
MEETING OF HOUSEHOLDERS.
The annual meeting of householders was held in the Montoa Hall last night, and was one_pf the largest meetings held in the district for many years past, and great interest was evinced in the proceedings. The retiring committee was re-elected, and are as follows: — Messrs Verily (chairman), Trigged, Spring, Gregory and M. Campbell.
At the conclusion of the meeting the erection of the memorial slab was discussed, and it was decided that the slab he engraved with the names of all those who took part in I lie Great War from the district and school.
A dance in aid of tlie school funds will he held in the Moutoa Hall on Friday night. Music will he supplied by Hori George, and Walls’ lorry leaves Foxlon post oflicc as usual at 7.30 o’clock. The guessing competition for the box of 500 cigarettes will be decided during the evening.
