FROZEN MEAT MARKET
Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 3rd April, 1925: — Frozen meat quotations (prices on a ‘•delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): Down lambs, 28/42’s,' lla'l per lb; best North Island, 28/42’s, 11 per lb; ordinary North Island, 28/42’s, 11 d; second quality lambs, 28/42’s, llfd; best North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, B§d; ditto, U4/72’s, G£d; ordinary ditto, 48/(34’s, B£d; North Island ewes, 48/U4’s, 7id; ditto, b4/72’s, lid; New Zealand prime ox heel", 100/220’s, s£d. As compared with last week’s quotations, the market is £d per lb. lower all round. The demand, for heavy lambs is better and the market for mutton is weaker, owing to holders pressing market. •
