CAPITAL CHARGE REDUCED.
THE NEW PLYMOUTH SENSATION. New Plymouth, March 26. John Thomas Martin, against whom a charge of murder was laid in connection with the death of the lad Kendrick, at Stratford, on March 18th, was brought before the Magistrate to-day, when the charge was reduced to manslaughter. Accused was remanded to appear at Stratford on March 30th. Kendrick was picked up on the roadside in a dying condition, his injuries apparently being due to a collision with a motor car.
