COAL MINERS INJURED.

Auckland, March 26. Two rather serious accidents occurred at the Pukemiro coal mines in the Waikato. Owing to the premature* ignition of a shot, A. Robinson was severely burned in the face, neck and shoulders, and was conveyed to the hospital. The second accident was caused by a fall from the roof, when A. Swift sustained severe bruises to the body. It is believed that no bones are broken. Robinson’s eyes are uninjured, but his condition otherwise is rather serious.
