MAXAWATU’S FIFTH TOURNAMENT. The fifth annual tournament for (lie Manawatu croquet championships will be held on the Manawatu Club’s courts, commencing on Tuesday, February 24. There have been record entries for the various contests and the list of competitors is as follows: Championship Singles: —Alesdames Clarke, Fuller, Mcßae, Baxter, Corbridge, Robertson, Campbell and Mr W. J. Robertson (Manawatu). Alesdames Bull, Gambrill, John Yoking, Brown (Northern); Alesdames MeMurray (Foxton) and Kirk (Levin). Championship Doubles. —W. J. Robertson and Airs Baxter, Alesdames Bridcn-Jones and Sinclair, Campbell and Robertson, Mcßae and Clark (Manawatu), Mesdames Bull and Gambrill (Northern). Handicap Singles.—This event will he divided into two grades: Alesdames AlcGill, Robertson, Benciall, Campbell, Fuller, Carke, Baxter, Corbridge, Alansford, BridenJones, AlcKenzie, (Manawatu); Alesdames Bull, Gambrill, John Young, James Young, Palmer. Brown, Boyne (Northern); Alesdahes Billing (/Fending); Flint, Usmar. Longstaff, .Ferguson (Takaro); Alesdames Browne, Litchfield, Mills, Orbell (Terrace End); Kirk. Nicholson (Levin), and Airs McAlurray (Foxton). " Handicap Doubles. —Alesdames .Mi-Gill and Spring, Bendall and Fuller, Baxter and Corbridge, Campbell and Robertson (Alanawatu), Bull and Gambrill (Northern), Usmar ami Long-staff, Flint, and Fer-gu.-on (Takaro), Brown and Orbell, Litchfield and Jamieson (Terrace End), Brideii-Jones (Manawatu) and Billing (Feilding), Kirk and Nicholson (Levin).
