ENTERTAINMENT.

ROYAL PICTURES. Harold Lloyd is undoubtedly the most consistent performer in the movies—a tireless young man in horn-rimmed glasses whose energy and ingenuity are on tap twelve months in the year. That's where Bob Sherwood, motion critic of “Life,” had to say about the comedian who was screened at the Royal Theatre last, night and to be seen again to-night in “Safety Last.” Last night Harold Lloyd convulsed a large audience and to-night you simply must see this scream of the year. Lloyd is dynamic in the world of laughter.

To-morrow night “Desert Driven,” Harry Carey’s virile western drama will be screened. The struggle in the cell, the overpowering of the guard by Carey as the escaped convict,.the race through tiie prison grounds and the plunge over the prison wall is shown in one vast panorama of suppressed emotions. The beautiful Marguerite Clayton plays the leading feminine role. “THE DAWN OF A TO-MORROW.” A thrilling tale of the London slums and of the happiness that came to one little waif is the grippingly human story that will be unfolded to (lie audience at the Town Hall Cabaret to-morrow evening when Frances Hodgson Burnett’s famous story, “The Dawn of a To-morrow,” will be presented as a screen play. The leading characters are played by Jacqniline Logan, David Torrence and Raymond Griffith. Comedy: “Hello Stranger” and latest News. Cabaret prices.

If you can imagine a rough riflin’, rip-roarin’ cowpuncher as the owner of an old ladies’ home you have a slight conception of how funny Tom Mix is in “Ladies to Board,” to be screened on Saturday next. He is ably assisted by his wonder horse Tony. A fine line up of features has been secured by the Town Hall management for the holiday season. Further particulars will appear in our next issue.
