WEDDING.

OA R.DNER —DA VE Y. A pretty wedding was celebrated in the Fox ton Presbyterian Church on Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. F. McDonald. The contracting parlies were Herbert, second son of Mr and Mrs A. Gardner, of Himatangi, ond Rosetta, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs James Davey, of Himatangi. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride, who for many years has been associated with the Church’s activities. Mrs Westwood presided at the organ and members of the choir were in attendance. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a creme crepe tie chine dress and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a pretty bridal bouquet of cream roses with touches of lavender, sweet peas and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Ena Davey. sister of the bride, who wore ii tucked frock of lavender organdie and black hat and carried a bouquet of similar tone to that of the bride’s. The charming little flower girl was Laurie Wilson, dressed in pale pink organdi with mob cap and lavender streamers and carried a basket of pink rose buds and maiden hair fern with lavender streamers. Mr Fred. Gardner, brother of the bridegroom, officiated as best man.

After the ceremony relatives and guests were entertained by the bride’s parents at Perreau’s rooms, where the usual toasts were honoured and felicitous speeches made. The happy couple subsequently left for Mount Eginont, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s going-a way dress was a navy tailored costume and fawn hat.
