ROYAL PICTURES. The Laura La Plante picture entitled “The Dangerous Blonde,” to lie screened at the Royal Theatre to-night, was directed by Robert F. Hill, the man who made “Excitement,” her first, starring vehicle. In the supporting cast are such wellknown players as Edward Hearn, Arthur Hoyt, Dick Sutherland, Margaret Campbell, Philo McCullough, Eve Southern, Rolfe. Sedan and Frederick Cole. “The Dangerous Blonde” is a whirlwind of fun and thrills and will hold your interest right to ihe finish. An excellent comedy, “A Lofty Marriage,” and extra, “The Leather Pushers,” will also be screened. On Friday night an Arrow special release entitled “The Rip Tide” will be presented to patrons. The cast includes such well-loved players as Stuart- Holmes, Rosemary Tlieby, Russell Simpson, J. Frank Glendon, George Rigas, Diana Alden, Dick Sutherland and many others of almost equal fame. The vehicle itself is a most pretentious one and is guaranteed to thrill and delight any and every audience. BIG MELODRAMA AT TOWN lIALL. Combining remai’kable scenes of the sea, including an actual shipwreck, with a story full of romantic intensity, “Hoodman Blind,” the special feature at the Town Hall on Saturday should delight ail picturegoers. The story deals with a man who unjustly suspects his wife of infidelity and whose jealousy brings on a tragedy which is overcome only by a kind fate. Shipwrecks and beach fights, love scenes and a touch of humour here and there combine to present one of the most thrilling pictures of the year us the man passes through the era of jealousy and love madness. Leading roles are portrayed by Gladys Hulelte, David Butler and Mure McDermott. The production is the work of John Ford, who has already given us “The Village Blacksmith,” “The Town that Forgot God,” “Silver Wings,” etc. Although “Hoodman Blind” is a special, it has been decided to screen the feature at us - ual prices, viz., 9d and 1/6, children 3d and 6d.
