ROYAL PTCTTOES. It is seldom that a picture comes along which holds an appeal for everyone. Tn reviewing in our mind’s eye pictures which have stood out from the rest, we find that those that met with the greatest success were old-time melodramas. Now “Lost in a Big City,” to he screened at the Royal Theatre tomorrow nighj is a well-known melodrama. Ti was adapted to the screen by L. Case Russell, and includes manv of tile old east, headed by John Lowell and Baby Ivy Ward. As an ex Ira “The Steel Trail” will be shown. Usual prices. On Saturday night “Slippy McGee" a First National attraction, will be screened with Wheeler Oakmas in the title role. While producing this picture the star wore a heavy steel boot arrangement to simulate the appearance of a false leg. Oakman lost nearly fifteen pounds of weight in dragging the contrivance arousd in the Mississippi heat of Natchez. “Slippy McGee” is a great picture and will hold vour interest without a lag until the very end. "BLUE BLAZES.”
Thrills and action bold the screen at the Town Hall on Saturday where ‘•Blue Blazes,” starring Lester Cusco heads the bill. It is the story of n famous prize tighter who sets out in search of romance and finds more than lie bargains for. Cuneo is supported by Franeelia Billington, a charming ingenue, famous as flitlead of “Foolish Wives,” who gives a splendid performance. The big thrill of the feature is a fistic duel to tlie death in a blazing oil well. A Sunshine comedy “School Pals” and the latest Fox News complete a good programme to be offered at usual prices, 9d and 1/6, children 3d and fid. On Monday evening a railroad drama “The Ninety and Nine," will he presented. This is a seven reel feature with Colleen Moore, Warren Baxter and Gertrude As tor heading an all-star east. A big railroad.race is one of the big moments and the hemming in by a forest tiro of one of the speeding trains adds an extra shiver to this big scene. Supporting pictures are also strong. Prices for this programme remain as usual.
