ROYAL PICTURES

‘Riders Up” is to he screened at

the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. The picture was made with an allstar east and is the screen story of “When Johnny Comes Marching Home,” by Gerald Beaumont, acclaimed one of the best fiction writers dealing with sport. It is a story of the race track life and was filmed in Tia Juana the, horses jockeys and many others being actually employed in the capacities shown on the screen. The picture is full of tense moments that will hold your interest to the finish. There is also a fine comedy entitled “Hit ’Em Hard” and the last of the third series of the “Leather Pushers” will he shown as an extra. Prices 9d and 1/6.

On Friday night James Oliver Cur wood’s story “Jacqueline,” or “Blazing Barriers,” will be the featured attraction. Contained therein are a varied assortment of punches, so thrilling as to bring even the most calloused theatre goer to his or her feet. You must not miss it.

THOMAS MEIGHAN AT THE CABARET. Many people will welcome the news that the good luck star, Thornes Aleighan, will again be seen at the Town Hall Cabaret, on Wednesday evening. He will appear in “Pied Piper -Malone.” It is the story of a seafaring man, who after doing all he could to save a foundering ship, found a rival in love had slandered his name before he .could arrive home to clear it. The story is from the pen of Booth Tarkiugton and among the prominent players supporting Tom Meighan are Lois Wilson and deorge Fawcett. “Rolling Home” is to-morrow’s comedy. Cabaret prices. On Saturday evening patrons are promised an exceptional night’s entertainment when, in addition to a William Russell feature drama “When Odds are Even,” Hie big fight picture, “Dempsey V. Gibbons,” will be screened. This latter is recognised as the most successful of fight films, due to the stirring nature of the 15 round contest and exceptional provisions made for photographing the 'event.
