At this week’s meeting of the Alanauatu County Council, the engineer reported that an application was received from the Foxton Borough Council to have. Spring Street opened up for traffic. Cr. Barber and the engineer bad made an inspection of the street, and it was considered too big an undertaking Hi Hi,, present time. An inspection was also made of the sand hill in Union Street which the Borough Council suggested should be re::pproticliitig traffic from either side. Two culverts were also inspected on ihc Foxton Shannon road and those rquired lowering to facilitate the discharge of storm water. It would be advisable t<> do (bis work when the weather was more favourable. The report was adopted.
