Wairarapa defeated Taranaki, at Stratford yesterday, by twenty points to eight. The visitors dominated the first half, the Taranaki liacks lacking combination, though the scrum woi-k was even. In the first spell Candy gained a penalty ami Desmond a try, and P. Booth converted a try. In the second spell I't vdav and Walters scored for laranaki. Ennis converting once. Boh and Randall Booth and Vangione also gained tries.
