MOTION FOR NEW TRIAL.

August, August 19. A motion for a new trial has been filed on behalf of Dr. Henry Dundas MacKenzic, in resneet. to the action in which Mrs Lawrence, of Hamilton, was ;iwarded £2.000 damages. The grounds of the motion a re that the verdict was against the weight of evidence, that the damages were excessive and that there was misdirection on the part of the judge.
