A TIMARU PROTEST
Timaru, Last Night.
At, a meeting of the committee of the Timani Women Citizens’ Association, a resolution was passed, protesting against tk enaction of the Auckland City Council in refusing a tins conductor’s license to Miss Russell of Auckland. The Association held that no person should be debarred from any occupation or profession merely on sex grounds, and asserted that women were much more likely to take up wifehood and motherhood with success if not forced into it through the fact of other avenues of service being closed to them, r
