BOWLING CLUB DANCE.
The dance held on Tuesday evening under the auspices of the Foxton Bowling and Croquet Clubs, in the Town Hall, Was a moderately successful function. About seventyfive couples graced the floor, to music supplied by the Blue and White Orchestra. The supper arrangements. as supervised by the ladies of ihe Croquet Club, were voted excellent. and were done full justice to. Mr .T. M. Barr officiated a.- M.C. The endue tournament attracted twenty players and the prize.-, were finally awarded as follows : —Ladies’ first, Mrs D. Ball (tied with Mesdames Parkin and A listin'-Johnston, and was successful in the play-off); gents’, first'. Air C. Spring (tied with Air W. Xye, and won in the play off). “Boobies." Airs Smith and AH T. East. ATr E. Parkin supervised the tournament. Those responsible express themselves as well satisfied with their first. annual dance, and intimated that next year they would probably elaborate the fixture and raise it to the status of a ball.
