OBITUARY.
WILLIAM. THOMAS MITCHELL, AGED 35 YEARS. There passed away at the Pukeora Sanatorium (Waipukurau) on tiiursday night last, W illiam Thomas MiU-hell, aged Jo yaws. The deceased joined the stall* Of Hie ••W'airarapa Standard" as an apprentice in 1903 during Mr J. K. liornbhnv's proprietorship of the paper and accompanied Mr Hornbiow to Pox ton upon taking over the “Herald’’ and resided here for many years, with his widowed motlier. Some years ago lie joined the staff of the N.Z. Times at Wellington. About two years ago he relinquished his position for health reasons, and subsequently entered the Pukeora sanitarium. He leaves a widow and two children to mourn their loss. To the bereaved we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
