A BRILLIANT SUCCESS.

Despite inelement weather there was a good attendance at the Royal Theatre last night to witness the initial performance of. the “Mother Goose" pantomime, written and produced by Mr Lester Sinclair, aidi r l»v Miss Winifred La France.

The performance far outclassed jiav local performance yet produced in Fox ton and reflected great credit on .the producers. The scenery and lighting effects were splendid and the costumes of the performers excellent. Mr Sinclair, as Sir Guv do Broke kept the house in roars of laughter, his “washing balky” M-ene, in which a live pig was used as “Imby" fairly brought the house down. A pretty little, dance was given by Miss Mollie Downes and Miss Maggie Smith, who were called upon to repeat their performance. Comedy ran high throughout llie production and the sinking; was parlioulfirly lino. The ballet girls gave the finishing touch to flic scenes, in their pretty costumes, Miss Winifred La France’s wardrobe was particularly fine. On the whole the performance reflected great credit on the prodneers and many favourable comments were heard at the fall of the curtain. You musn’t fail to see the repeat performance on Friday night. Quite a number of those who witnessed last night’s performance have signified their intention of again witnessing the performance. Be there or bust. HOME CHI LI IRON AS GUESTS AT SATURDAY’S MATINEE.
