DEFENDANTS TO APPEAL. At the Palmerston N. S.M. Court yesterday Frederick Rule, Neil Larsen and Clips. Strickland, were charged that on July 19. at Palmerston North, thev did unlawfully and without colour of right, convert tn their own use, a motor ear valued at .€252, the property of George Raymond Donald. Tn summing up, Mr J. L. Stout stated that it was evident the defendants bad barefacedly converted the car to their own use, and then barefacedly endeavoured to bluff it out in Court. Each defendants would be convicted and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with hard labour. Mr Cooper quoted the provisions of flic Act, whereupon Mr Stout added a. further two days to the sen-; tenee to allow the defendants to appeal.
