ACCIDENT NECESSITATES AMPUTATION.
Timaru, August 1. Alfred Boulton, aged 14 years, the son of Mr Alfred Ernest Boulton, of Otaia, fell from an engine drawing a ehaffeutter, the wheel of the galley passing over his right leg, and rendering necessary amputation above the knee.. The gale for the All Blacks match at Palmerston N. last Saturday amounted to £1,414 17/- as against >.'1.132 6/3 for the Springboks’ game. The former figure is easily a record for a football match in Palmerston NT., and also a record for the A. and P. ground.
