The Post and Telegraph Department's revenue quarter ended 30th June, compared with a year ago, is as follows (shillings and pence omitted) —- £ £ 3924 3923 Postal 32(i.71i7 335,728 Telegraph 138,200 288,131 Of the latter, telephones produced £257.492, compared with £123,009 a year ago. Savings Bank deposits totalled £7,597,010 against £7,035,030 for the June quarter of 1923. Tin* withdrawals this year totalled £7,812,880. exceeding the deposits by £215,270, while a year JlgO the withdrawals were C'7,094,440 or £540,584 less than the deposits.
