AMERICAN PRESIDENCY.
J. W. DAVIS DEMOOBATIC NOMINEE. New York, July 9. Mr John W. Davis, formerly Uniied Suites Ambassador to Great Britain, has been selected as the Democratic nominee for the Presidency oi the United States. The hundred and third ballot showed that the movement towards tin,vis was very strong and when Vermont cast its eight voles for him it was evident he would secure nomiuutiou, having bOl already, and (lie next moment, the overflowing atciiu expressed iLs relief with the vast volumes of sound, the band played ‘‘Glory, Glory, Hallelujah” and every State standard was caught by strong bands. The march was started which, however, was difficult for every spot was jammed with humanity.
