The X.Z. Rugby Union selection committee repudiate the report circulated to the effect that the colour line i.- being drawn in the selection of the All Black team. Air AlcKenzie said the All Black selection commit tec, m ehosing the teams, did so according to the player’s ability, irrespective of colour. “The Alami Advisory Board, also the Horowhenua Ritgbv Union officials, were informed by myself that the rumoured drawing of the colour line by the selectors had no foundation in fad. and T support the statement bv calling attention to the fact that X'cpia, Paewai. Dell and Alill, all members of Arr Pavata’s Maori team have been included in the trials. The reason why some Maori players are omitted is because the selectors’ opinion of their play is that it is not up to the standard required.”
