ALL SAINTS' HOME.
At the animal meeting of subscribers of All Saint-' Children’s Home (which includes the home at the local seaside), the Rev. AAA 11. AA’altou (vice-president), in a lengthy speech on tlie constitution and administration of the home, urged cooperation between the different parishes in the diocese. The home was becoming more than a parochial one. Tt was becoming a diocesan affair. The children in the homes in Palmerston X'. and Foxton were sent from various parts of the diocese and he would like to see outside parishes assisting. What was needed was a definite constitution and understanding, but the control of the homes -houhl remain vested in Palmerston North, whatever outside assistance was given.
AD Holben said that Air AA'a It oil’s remarks opened up a wide field and lie Imped people would remember that the home at Foxton had been established for the purpose of relieving the Palmerston N. institution. If the home passed out of local control it would mean that they would have to go hat in hand and ask for the privilege of using the home, which was their own property. It was finally decided that the Rev. AA’a It on he asked to draw up a scheme for the consolidating of the constitution of the home and to devise means of dealing with the question of outside assistance.
A'otes of thanks were passed to (lie matron at Foxton (Airs Mur doe ID. the matron at Palmerston X. (Mrs Leigh), and Air A. Sherman (secretary) for their services.
