R.S.A. V. FOiTON. The Palmerston hi. Times writes as follows on the match Foxton v. K.S.A. (Palmerston hi.) played on the North Street grounds (Palmerston hi.) on Saturday: U.S.A. won Lire toss and elected to play with the wind. From the kick-off K.S.A. put Foxton on the defensive and within live minutes were one goal up. Contour (R.8.A.) made a hot drive, Which struck the upright aud rebounded into play, and the Foxton lull-hack, nr attempting to clear, headed through his own goal. Shortly after, Morgan for K.S.A. scored with a nice drive. Foxton were penned in their - own half owing more or less to the high wind prevailing and it came as no surprise when Bell scored a third for R.S.A. Mali time was called without further incident. On resuming, R.S.A. again went to the attack. The brothers Crowe made some fine solo efforts for Foxton, but the line as a whole lacked cohesion. Contour again scored for K.S.A. After this Foxton made an occasional break away, but could not penetrate the winners’ defence. Jiell again scored and time was called shortly after, the score being; lv-S.A. o, Foxton nil. Mr (J. Idoine ably controlled the game. Praise is due to the Foxton defence, who were hard worked throughout the game, and though beaten were not disgraced. The Crowe brothers were the pick of the forwards.
