HARBOUR BOARD IN CONTROL OF THE WHARF.
The Foxton Harbour Board took over the handling and sorting of goods at the local warf as from yesterday morning. There is about 140 tons of goods in the shed which will be forwarded on to consignees in order to have the shed clear for handling and sorting future shipments. The Board has been given full responsibility iu dealing; with all goods arriving through the port aud will employ and pay labour as required, charge and collect wharfages and freights.
