RIFLE SHOOTING

The first, shoot at 600 yards for Messrs Collinsou and Son’s trophy took place on the range on Saturday. A variable wind with bad light was not conducive to good shooting. The following are the scores (ten shots): — Rifleman A. Barnard 44, handicap 3, 47; Rflm. Hartley 42, 5, 47. Pres. Head, 41, 6, 47; Rflm. W. Symons 36, 11, 47; Rflm. C. Barnard 35, 12, 47; Rflm. C. Rand 33, 12, 45; Cadet Head 33; Cadet Tver 28.

Next Saturday the annual competitions for the Wellington Fresh Food and Ice Co.’s cup will he held on the TTnutere range. The ranges will he 300, 500 and 600 yards, seven shots at. each range, teams to consist of eight men. The Foxtnn team will leave the garage at 8 a.m.
