SCHOOL PICNIC AT THE SEASIDE.
the children attending the Awahou A orlh school, together with the teachers, committee and parents, held their annual picuie at the local seaside yesterday 7, in glorious weather. Motor ears conveyed the parly, numbering 00, and the motor drive from the Pohangina Valley to the seaside was an added pleasure tor (he little ones. The party left i'oh angina \ alley at 8 a.m, and arrived at the seaside at 10 a.m. liie visitors desire to thank Mrs Walls for the excellent catering arrangements. The party returned in the evening tired hut happy with the day’s splendid outing.
On the invitation of the chairman of ihe local committee, Mr Tunniclilie, headmaster and his committeemen paid a visit to the local school and were received by the headmaster and shown over the buildings and grounds. The visitors expressed surprise and pleasure at such a line building and up-to-date eq uipmeut.
