FOXTON FOOTBALL CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Foxton Football Club was held iu the Town Hall supper-room last evening. There was an excellent attendance of football enthusiasts presided over by Mr Hutchins.

The report and balance sheet as previously published was read and adopted. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet Mr D. Christie said that lie considered the club had had a very successful year, commencing with only a few shillings and ending the season with a credit balance of £ls. He was a football enthusiast hut he did not feel inclined to give the club much support unless at least one rep. match a year was played at Foxlou. Mr Hutchins, club delegate, said that last season Foxlou was alio cated the Kangitikei rep. match hut unfortunately Rangitikei did not tour. The Union then decided that the East Coast rep. match be played here hut unfortunately this team did not come. There was, however, a recommendation before the Union now that the Manawatn rep. match he played at- Foxton this coming season. RESIGNATION. Mr K. Hiriui, last season’s very able secretary, tendered liis resignation from the position of secretary to the club. His resignation was accepted with regret and Mr H. Robinson was appointed to fill the vacancy. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron: J. Linklater, Esq., M.P., President: Mr C. Robinson; Vicepresidents : Messrs Kirkland, 0. R. .Robinson, Preston, Ogilvy. Perreau, Fred. Robinson, Jewell, Austin, W. E. Barber, Christie, R. Hynes, Drs. Wyllie and Rowley, Roore and F. Robinson; auditor: Mr J. Delany; committee: H. Reid, 11. Hutchins, It. Rangiheuea, A. Stevenson, O. Alexander, D. Ball, A. Davidson; delegate to Union: Air H. Hutchins; club delegates: Messrs R, Rangilieuea, G. Alexander, J. Desmond; selectors: Mr Delany in conjunction with the captain and coach of the seniors; selectors for the Juniors, Thirds and Fourths, captain, vicecaptain and coach of the teams; (’oaches: Seniors: Mr. J. Desmond; Juniors: Mr R. Rangiheuea; Thirds Mr V. McDowell; Fourths: Mr J. Dunn; Referees: Messrs W. Neville, Fred. Robinson and W. Andresen.

Mr Perreau moved that all games be played on the I’ace-eourse but the motion was defeated and an amendment to the effect that all football be played on Easton Park was carried.

It was decided to hold a goal kicking competition and a seven-a-side tournament, open to all financial members, to commence on the 22nd March.

Decided to enter four teams in the Horowhemia Rugby Union competition, namely, Senior, Junior, Thirds and Fourths. As the outcome of a general discussion during the evening as to whether nntinaneia! members should he allowed a vote, Air E. Bryant moved that only financial members hi entitled to voting power. This motion was carried. SUBSCRIPTIONS: It "as decided that subs, he as follows for t lie ensuing year:— Seniors ami Juniors 5/-; Thirds 2. <>: Fourths 1/-. Insurance 2/6. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair concluded a successful meeting.
