The monthly meeting of the Foxton branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in I lie Aletliodist Church on Thursday last. Airs Banks presided over a fair attendance and a most interesting address was gi ven hy Airs Frost of Levin, on the work done by their Union, the speaker being accorded a hearty vote of thanks. It was decided that Airs Banks lie appointed delegate to represent i he Union at the annual conference io be held at New Plymouth next month. A most interesting paper on the life of Frances Willard was read and freely discussed. It was derided to postpone the Band of Hope till next month.
