Reader, Purcell, Hunt and Francis, C. AI. Ross Co., Foxton branch. The gifts were too numerous to mention many bringing three oi four different articles. The gifts consisted of bags of sugar, flour, groceries, crockery, carpets, linen, loads of firewood from the beach and a box for contributions contained a cheque for £2 2/from Air Hollings, £1 1/- from Air C. H. Symons, £1 from Air Penman and 16/- in small coin. The committee especially thank all those who provided refreshments for afternoon tea and to Alesdames Walton, Pearson, Cook, Clapham, Alsop and others who dispensed refreshments. The committee were particularly pleased with the parcel from the C. AI. Ross Co., of Foxton. which contained a gift from every member of the staff and consisted of towels, pillowslips, linen and floor mats. Anyone who contributed and whose name is omitted please accept the grateful thanks of the committee.
