CORRESPONDENCE.
(To The Editor.) Sir, —I noticed in Saturday’s Herald that the Beautifying Society intend to hold a public meeting to dscuss a children’s playing ground in Easton Park, but, sir, what is wrong with Victoria Park, as a children’s playing ground? The situation of Victoria Park is not distant, and possesses plenty of sheltered nooks where parents can rest comfortably beneath the trees while the- children can indulge in five swings, etc. I think Victoria Park is an ideal place and the meeting should be asked to express an opinion as to the suitability of the two sites. It is a pity to neglect Victoria. Park altogether for 'our children have spent many happy Title gatherings there as a picnic T hope some one will take u]' the ease f«»r Victoria Park at the meeting.—l am, etr. PARENT.
