VISIT TO BULLS GREEN

Weather permitting, a visit by special invitation of the Bulls Club will be made by Fox ton bowlers tomorrow afternoon. Bowlers desiring to make the trip should communicate with the Secretary forthwith. DIXON CUP. The Masterton Club retained the Dixon Cup from a challenge h_\ Palmerston North at the week end defeating the visitors by 33 points to 13. The rinks were: Masterton: Thurston, Chapman, Perry, Kerr (s) 33; Palmerston North: G. Wilson, .1. B. Wilton, W. -Tolly, F. Needham (s) 13. MANSON AND BARR CUP. C. H. Allen, of the Palmerston N. Club was next in turn for the Manson and Barr Cup which was being held by Shannon, but as Allen was unable to play on Saturday, his place was taken by Trotfc, who succeeded in wresting the trophy from the holders and taking it back to Palmerston North. The green was keen and the visitors were playing well, the score at the tea adjournament being 11 points to 2 in their favour. The visitors then scored on nine successive heads, the card at the seventeenth head showing 17 — 11. The visitors had an advantage of 7 at the conclusion. The rinks were: — Shannon. —Butt, Gagliardi, Quarrie, Whibley (s) 14 v. Palmerston X. —Rowling, Wilton, Wilson, Trott (s) 21.
