FIRE BOARD.
A meeting of the local committee of the Fox lon Fire Board was held yesterday afternoon. Present Messrs Hnrnblow (chairman). Geo. Coley, R. Bryant and the secretary (Air Rangiheuea).
The brigade superintendent (MrH Hamer) was in attendance and submitted a sketch plan and estimate for the erection of a bell tower and hose-drying gallows at the fire station. The plan and estimates were discussed at length and the old fire hell tower inspected. Messrs Coley and Bryant were authorised to make enquiry re cost of iron structure and to inspect the Levin tower and report to a further meeting.
The procuring of three helmets was left to the secretary.
